The South Texas Longhorns were the first to make youth football affordable for all children in Atascosa County and surrounding areas.
Our Youth Football Organization was first to lead the county by bringing home FIVE State Cheerleading Titles and THREE State Runner Up in only our FOURTH year in existence....
The Longhorns are members of the Texas Youth Football Association (TYFA) and registered as a non-profit organization with a 501 (c) .
Our goal is to provide a safe, supervised, and affordable means for youth in the community to enjoy the sport of Football and Cheerleading. Our objective is for all participants to have fun as we strive in providing each child the opportunity to participate and play at each and every game.
We serve the Atascosa County and surrounding areas that consist of Campbellton, Charlotte, Christine, Floresville, Jourdanton, Leming, Pleasanton, Poteet, Primrose, and Tilden .
Our Home Games will be held at Poteet High School Stadium. Our practice fields are located at 113 Quail Nest just half a mile east of Hwy 16 S. Our cheerleaders practice at Jourdanton Elementary located at 200 Zanderson.
